Why Group Coaching and Why is it so Popular?

At Guided Steps Coaching we are always trying to increase the impact of community, and one of the best ways we have seen is through the benefits of group coaching! Although we surely can grow as individuals, the famous saying is “there is powers in numbers”. Although many of us are self learners, there are many benefits to our group coaching:

You can find an accountability partner
Someone will most likely say something that hits you
You will see an idea from a new light
Collective wisdom can be golden

Lower cost than individual coaching

As you can see, there are surely benefits with group coaching! There are numerous other benefits to coaching done in groups. Many have formed some of the strongest bonds with people who has started out merely as strangers! Studying and growing alone is awesome, but sometimes community adds that extra bit that was missing!

Group Discussion FAQs

What makes this different than other book discussion groups?
For starters, the price tag is lower than others! If you’ve ever been in a free book discussion group, you know how those go no need to play them down as they do that themselves. The benefit of our group is we aren’t just reading the book! There is group coaching involved, sometimes work and homework. As of the time of this writing there was three other group coaching settings that were book specific.
Do I get a discount on future book discussion group coaching events?
At this time, no. But Coach Jay is always thinking of new ways to help!
Are the discussions recorded?
No. We at Guided Steps Coaching do not record our sessions, either individual or group coaching based. Some people are camera shy and that is okay, some people may feel nervous when the spotlight is on them. Although we may change this policy in the future, Coach Jay said that it is highly unlikely. Aside from that, it wouldn’t be fair for those who pay for the session live.
Is there a way to know which books are up and coming?
Yes! We actually post them because some people may only be interested in a specific topic. Of course our “Growth Worm” package allows you to join each course without re-enrolling!
Are there a certain number of seats per book?
There are limited seats. The beauty of this is sort of like a small village versus a huge busy and bustling city. You get to know each other as the reading goes on!
Will the same book be reviewed more than once?
That will likely happen more than once, however it comes down to demand honestly. There are so many great books we have read through on a wide variety of topics it would be tough to schedule the same book in a given year.

Recovery Driven FAQs

There are free recovery groups, why pay?
That’s easy to answer, how often do you see the same people in the same room? We will never downplay traditional groups importance! Coach Jay has been to several groups regularly and still attends! In life, when you commit financially there is a better chance of you sticking through to the end.
Do you offer packages?
We do, and they can be seen on the order page here. We priced the yearly so cheap because we want people coming back! Recovery takes work.
Are there rules for Recovery Driven?
Absolutely. And they are to be adhered to!
Who will know I attend these?
We will not tell anyone unless otherwise mandated by law. Although you should be proud of your recovery, it really is a private matter.
Is this traditional group coaching?
No, we put our own spin on it. We have been to more than enough meetings to know what, for us and the general consensus, is most impactful and what is not.
What if I can not make the meeting that night?
We are here because we care about results in people and if we do not hear from you, some of us may worry including your fellow group members!
Are there same sex groups?
At the moment, no. This is a newer flagship program of ours. We surely do want freedom of communication, however it is a schedualing and availability thing coupled with the interest.
Can we come back ?
At the culmination of each group, you are more than welcome to join the next group!
Is each group coaching session the same?
No! Although there are similarities between vices and addictions, there are also differences. We try to cover recovery as whole but are more than welcoming of, and encourage, feedback.
Can someone join halfway through?
People are more than welcome to join, however there will be a certain point where enrollment is firmly cut off and exemptions will not be considered. A goal of this recovery group coaching program is to foster intimate community and accountability. This will be a safe place, and new people coming in late really do not benefit the current group members or the individual themselves.
